A small deck built on a home in Rice Lake, WI. This was not attached to the house, but rested on the footers and posts on both sides.

Note the composite decking and the small entry steps to the patio door. The owner wanted the deck low to the ground, without railing, so this fit the bill.

Below is an 8x8 deck we built off the side of a home in Cumberland. This was also not attached to the home, but supported by four footers and posts.

Doug and Peter Brown (one of Steve's sons), helped build this multi-level deck off a home in Lexington, KY

Below is the finished deck. The lower portion was to hold a large hot tub/spa.

We replaced a broken up concrete patio with this treated deck. Repair needed to be made to the rotted rim joist below the patio door, too. (Lexington, KY)

That's an addition (below) we built on this older home in Lexington, KY, and the deck frame that used to be next to the house, we saved and put on the addition, adding new decking and railing and exit stairs.

Below is a large deck we built in Lexington, KY, off the existing concrete patio with a screen porch. This is the first time I used composite decking. Every screw hole had to be predrilled through this very expensive, all plastic decking. I bet it looks the same today. It was impervious to weather and better than most composite decking used today.

The sitting section of the deck.

Below is an 1100 sq ft deck with multiple levels. We replaced an old cedar deck that was rotting and built this cutom deck. It was directly off a man-made lake in Lexington, KY. It was raining the day I took this picture. I could not show the whole deck because it was so large.

Below is a screen porch we built on an existing deck built beefy enough to hold this extra weight. The siding and finsh trim was all done in cedar. (Lexington, KY)
